Corvette Show – The Woodlands

On one of my expeditions, I ended up in The Woodlands and found this Corvette Car show going on.   I will have a post about The Woodlands later, but for now The Woodlands is a super planned community north of Houston that is really nice.  They always have events such as this car show.

Personally, I’m more of an import car fan, but I do enjoy the all-american muscle car.  I like the older Corvettes more than the new ones. They just seem to look tougher and more elegant.  I’d like to have some type of older muscle car and do the whole smokey and the bandit thing with it.

The amout of work that the owners put into their cars is just amazing. Even the engines are spotless & shiny.  The paint-job was great on all of the cars.  Some of the cars are even every-day vehicles.

Moved Out.

So I haven’t updated in a whole month, I think that’s the longest time I’ve gone without showing you a bunch of neat stuff.  Well the reasons have been several, but most importantly it has been that I have moved.  I got a new job in Houston and have relocated.

I live in North Houston and have found it very enjoyable.  I very much enjoy having access to the lots of things to do and see  that  a large city provides.  Now you may ask.. what does it mean for me?  Well for you it means you get much richer posts and interesting topics to read.

I have several posts already in the work and will be sending them your way very soon.  For now,  this post will be about my move.  So stay tuned…..  -raf

Getting my things together for my move.  I don’t really own anything. :)

Packing my Anime volumes, figures, gundams and tech tools.

The apartment I’m staying in. Guess what floor????

Inside of the apartment. Pretty nice I think.

Setting up my bed purchased at Ikea.

I love this bed btw.

View from my balcony.

A little everyday traffic. It rocks.. makes you crazy too.

Jello teddy Bear

We got some jello molds at the house the other day and I got to snack on this teddy bear shaped one.  I was impressed on how well the shape came out and I can’t complain about the taste.  Someone asked me what type of jello it was and I couldn’t really say. I mean, I call it jello or Gelatina in spanish, but it’s made with milk instead of water. The other molds that I have are a race car and a frog (I think).  I will gets some pictures on those as soon as I make some more jello.

Dylan’s Candy

Is there a Dylan’s Candy store where you live?  The closest store to me is in Houston in the Galleria.  Inside Dylan’s Candy store there are all sorts of candy.  You can get a hold of candy this is no longer sold in stores (like “Zebra-Stripes”)  or Dylan’s own candy. I don’t have a very big sweet tooth, so I just browsed and looked. I think alot of people tend to do that at the store because it is just such a colorful and interesting sight to take in.

Coming here to pick up candy for candy required days such as valentines, christmas etc. is probably a-lot of fun. I may have to make a trip to see if there is a lot of action.

Christmas Lights Boat Parade

A few days before Christmas I went to a “Christmas Boat Parade”.  The idea was cool and they had some real cool lighted boats. At the same time, the parade proceeded rather slowly (they are boat’s people!) and it was hard to wait in the cold weather.
